British footwear brand Inov-8 is well-known for using the sticky grip and boasting intense log-design on its shoes. Now, the company has come up with the latest shoes named Inov-8 TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 MAX that is claimed to be the world’s first running shoes with Graphene-enhanced foam.

Designed in collaboration with ‘Graphene experts’ at The University of Manchester, UK, these new running shoes are likely to feel very different to the wearers with ultra-comfortable foam in the midsole.

One-of-its-kind running shoe with Graphene-foam innovation

With founder Edy back leading Inov-8, the company hopes to take their brand to next level with this innovative shoe foam. The Graphene-enhanced foam used in these shoes is called G-Fly. While graphene is known to be around 200 times stronger compared to steel, it is the world’s thinnest material and also features amazing flexibility.

Inov-8 first launched Graphene in 2018 with its graphene-enhanced rubber that’s known to offer the world’s toughest grip. In the last three years, the sales of their hiking, running, and fitness shoes increased a lot due to this wondrous rubber. Considered as the strongest material on the earth, now the sturdy Graphene is being infused into the foam of the company’s new shoe for enhancing the overall performance of the marathon and trail runners. Along with the University of Manchester’s Graphene department, the brand is also set to expand its boundaries further with this latest shoe invention that features around three patent-pending technologies.

Features of Inov-8 TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 MAXCLOSE

Inov-8 TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 MAX’s graphene-enhanced rubber midsole features vertical grooves cut and 35 multi-directional 4mm deep lugs in the foam. This allows the metatarsal bones of feet to move and flex independently without any inconvenience. It is even around 50-percent stronger, 50-percent hardwearing, and 50-percent more elastic compared to regular non-Graphene rubber midsoles and outsoles.

The best thing about G-FLY foam is not just its resistance to daily wearing, but also its ability to retain the thickness, as well as optimum energy levels for a longer duration. According to Inov-8, this new foam is likely to provide 25-percent more energy return compared to any industry-standard EVA foam.

The company also claimed that the athletes wearing these foamed shoes mentioned that they performed better after approx. 1,200 km. This is indeed almost double the standard of the industry. However, better performance can be subjective as per different people.

This running shoe’s BOOMERANG insole features hundreds of extended TPU beads to compress and immediately spring back around 40-percent more energy in return than regular insoles. Furthermore, it promises to retain the optimum performance level and 6mm thickness for a longer time without moisture retention.

It also boasts the ADAPTER-FIT technology for providing a comfortable and supportive fit to adjust to all the natural foot movements, as well as to swollen foot when one runs very long distances.

It even includes breathable, lightweight air mesh material for adding breathability – but without sacrificing its durability. These shoes have a lightweight racer tongue and wide toe-box along with a double-layered toe guard with better protection against rocky terrain.
